My Favorite Sugar Alternatives
My favorite sugar alternatives include monk fruit, stevia, and erythritol. Monk fruit is a natural sweetener from a small melon-like fruit that grows in Southeast Asia. It has a mild, sweet flavor and is about 200 times sweeter than sugar. It does not affect blood sugar levels and is an excellent alternative for people with diabetes. Stevia is a plant-based sweetener that is about 200 times sweeter than sugar. It is calorie-free and does not affect blood sugar levels. Erythritol is a sugar alcohol found naturally in some fruits and vegetables. It has a mild sweet taste and is about 70% as sweet as sugar. It does not affect blood sugar levels and is an excellent alternative for people with diabetes.
By making the switch to healthier sugar alternatives, you can still enjoy the sweet taste of sugar without the damaging effects it has on your health. With the information I share in this episode, you can have your cake and eat it too!
