Summary of Ep. 257 Biohack Your Mind: Thrive Mentally and Physically in Middle Age:
I was in a job that I had grown not to love, and I was ready to be done with it. So, I started to explore that, and I began to explore the idea of nutritional therapy and coaching. It was terrifying because I had to give up my identity as a lawyer, and I had to give up my financial security. I had to give up everything I had worked so hard to build. So, that was a terrifying transition, but it was a transition that I knew I had to make because I was getting these nudges from the universe that this was the right thing to do. So, I followed that, and I’m glad I did. It’s been a fantastic journey, and I’m so excited to be here talking to you about it. Summarize: Kristin Rowell is a lawyer, Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, and CEO/Founder of Energetically Efficient. After spending 16 years building a successful business trial practice, she left to create Energetically Efficient to speak to and coach other high-performers on efficiently navigating food, exercise, and other lifestyle practices to maximize their energy and become their best self each day. I would hear little whispers like, “Kristin, you’re done. You’re done with the law. You don’t need to do this anymore.” And I was like, “No, no, no, no, no. I can’t do that. I’m a partner in a law firm. I can’t just leave.” But then I kept getting these nudges and started exploring what that might look like. I began to explore coaching, nutrition therapy, energy work, and all these things that I had been interested in for many years, but I didn’t have the time to explore them. I was so busy being a lawyer and trying to build a business that I didn’t have the time. So, the transition from the law happened in 2019, and I started Energetically Efficient on January 1, 2020.
