We often cling to things that cause us anxiety and frustration, and it’s not easy to let go of these attachments. He suggests that the cause of this is an idea or concept in our minds that things should be different than they are. To practice letting go, we should first notice when we feel difficulty, then be with it without judging it. We can then let go of the mental conception that is causing the difficulty and experience the moment without it. Finally, we can take action from this new place.
