Herjavec: Money or Success?

Robert Herjavec, a successful entrepreneur and investor from Shark Tank, shared with the audience at the 10X Growth Conference the importance of capital, investment, and self-discipline. Capital accumulation is the hardest thing to achieve; however, investing in oneself can make a difference in growing one’s capability to earn money. To succeed, people need to show up and try to achieve what they want. With tremendous success come more challenging goals, but one should always prioritize the little wins daily to build momentum towards their larger goals.

According to Herjavec, success means being a good human being who adds more value to life and does what they love. He pointed out that great wealth does not change who a person is at their core but amplifies it. So, if someone is already a lousy human, they will be worse with more money. However, if someone is a good human being, they will do more great things with wealth. For Herjavec, being successful means making investments to improve oneself, showing up consistently, working hard, and adding value to the lives of others.

In summary, success requires dedication, focus, and self-discipline. It involves investing in oneself to improve one’s capabilities and building enough capital to achieve larger goals. The road to success is never easy, and setbacks are bound to happen. However, success does not mean giving up. Instead, people must keep pushing forward and finding something that motivates them. Incorporating this mindset into one’s daily life means achieving little victories, building momentum, and continuing to invest in oneself and others.
