I mean, it’s a huge amount of women, so it’s like all these years, you’re not getting the natural fluctuations of hormones that are necessary for bone health. So, it’s like, you’re kind of set up for failure in some ways, right?Kevin Ellis: Yeah, absolutely. So, that’s one of the things that’s really important. You know, we talk about the importance of hormones, especially in bone health, but also in so many other aspects of health. Estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, all of these hormones play an important role in bone health. But, you know, when we’re talking about oral contraceptives, what they do is they suppress the natural fluctuations of these hormones. So, you’re not getting the natural peaks and valleys that you would get if you weren’t on the oral contraceptive. And that’s been shown to have an impact on bone health. So, it’s important to be aware of that and be mindful of it. And if you’re using oral contraceptives, it’s important to be aware of the potential impact on your bone health and to be proactive in making sure that you’re getting enough of the other nutrients that are important for your bone health.
