In today’s world, consuming and reaching outside ourselves to find happiness is prevalent. Many people need to constantly consume external stimuli, whether through social media, food, or material possessions. However, this constant consumption can lead to depression and a lack of self-expression. This is where mind fasting, or meditation, comes in.
Mind fasting is essential for mental and emotional well-being because our internal dialogue and unhealed trauma can outweigh the benefits of good nutrition and healthy habits. Mind fasting is not putting external stimuli into the mind and instead going within and exploring our inner terrain. It allows us to touch the places within ourselves that are not being derived by anything outside of us and transmute superstitious beliefs, thoughts, and perceptions.
Consumption seems to make us feel alive, but in reality, it can lead to addiction to external stimuli, even negativity. Instead, we need to prime ourselves to come to an awareness that there’s something about us that’s already all right, magnificent, and beautiful. It just needs our appreciation and embrace of it. We didn’t come to the Earth to consume; we came to the Earth to radiate, express, create, glow, give, share, and shine.
Unfortunately, we are currently facing epidemics of mental health challenges, and conventional treatments for depression have a relatively low success rate. This growing rate of mental health issues may be a symptom of a culture that focuses heavily on commercialism, materialism, and gaining but not on activating the potential within us. We need to focus on character and becoming the best version of ourselves, tapping into our creativity and expressing ourselves.
The lack of vision and focus on possibility in our leaders and politics also contributes to the epidemic of mental health challenges. Children growing up with everything to be afraid of are experiencing depression of energy and not being taught to speak to their potential, possibility, and greatness. We must focus on teaching children to tap into their potential instead of being afraid and consuming external stimuli.
In conclusion, mind fasting is a unique and fascinating aspect that can lead to our well-being. We must appreciate and embrace what’s within us, tap into our creativity, and focus on possibility and potential. By doing this, we can overcome the effects of consuming external stimuli and achieve greater happiness, peace, joy, and inspiration.
