My Experience with the Healthy Keto Diet
As someone with a long history of struggling with weight issues, I have explored many different diets in search of optimal health. The healthy keto diet has been of particular interest to me lately, and while much of it is still mysterious to me, my experience so far has been encouraging.
One aspect of this diet that stands out is intermittent fasting; initially strange to me, its purported benefits – such as improved insulin sensitivity and cellular repair – persuaded me to give it a try. My routine usually consists of waking up at 5am and heading to bed around 10:30pm, with meals taking place between those times – often within a 3-4 hour window and leaving 20-21 hours for fasting. At 5am I drink some organic coffee and take supplements, followed by breakfast (usually 4 pasture-raised eggs with 4oz bacon, 3 oz cheese, ¼ cup olives & 1 tomato) between 1-3pm and then dinner (a large salad plus protein from sardines/shrimp/grass-fed meats/wild-caught salmon/steak etc.) between 5-6pm. There are always snacks in the form of nuts like pecans or pistachios available too during this time.
Although the nuts & greens that make up these meals appear healthy & filling on paper, our individual body types can still lead us to respond differently to certain foods or eating patterns within the healthy keto diet framework. Because of this I recommend consulting Dr Berg’s free keto mini course which provides fundamentals behind this diet as well as how best to implement it into your lifestyle safely & effectively. Furthermore, specific advice regarding which supplements you should take can be obtained by speaking with product advisors designed for such a purpose.
So far my transition into the world of the healthy keto diet has been both educational & rewarding. Questions remain concerning exactly what type of foods should I be eating within each meal window as well as how adjustments can be made for things like workouts or social engagements that may pop up outside my designated timeframe. However, I remain optimistic that expert guidance from practitioners like Dr Berg along with proper support from product advisors can help me find the correct combination of foods & supplements needed to reach satisfactory health and wellbeing!
